Canon Powershot A580 Review by PCmag

Even with its better bigger brother occupying the same market space, the A580 is a decent starter camera.

the Kodak EasyShare Z1085 IS has a bloody good bash at being an excellent entry level compact - and is successful for the most part. It’s got easy to use menus, an abundance of modes (including manual), a good zoom range, HD options and a decent image stabilisation sets all for 150 quid.
The Optio M50 has an easily accessible system of menus, the expected range of shortcuts and toggles, and the aforementioned green button, which practically doubles the camera’s ease-of-use.
The rugged Stylus 1030 SW is an ideal companion for an expedition in the Sahara because its airtight construction is impervious to dust, dirt and other particles. When the camera gets dirty, just rinse it off with your canteen.
