I sent it in to Sony and they are saying that somewhere along the line, the camera had impact damage - even though it was still working at the time. They won’t fix it. A couple weeks ago I tried using my camera and everytime I turned it on, it would automatically turn off. My first thought was that the battery was dead. I charged it overnight and when I tried to turn it on, it turned off automatically again. I purchased the correct batteries from the internet and fully charged the battery in the camera when I received them. I just tried to turn it on, and it’s still doing the same thing; turning off automatically. And now it’s also not opening the lens fully like it should. I can send it back in for repair without a problem, but I’m having a baby in about 6 weeks and can’t be without the camera. Any ideas on what I can do without having to send it in?
