Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 Digital Cameras Plus Information
The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 is an 8 megapixel digital camera with a 3x (38 - 114mm equivalent) optical zoom lens (Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar) and a 2.7 inch LCD touch screen.

The Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 features optical image stabilization, ISO of up to 3200, USB 20.0 and has a sliding cover with a retracting lens (I wish my Canon had one). It also features Sony’s ’smile shutter’ which looks for smiles and will take images without you having to press the shutter. It comes in green, blue, pink, white and black.

It takes Memory Stick Duo and Pro Duo cards but also has a massive 4 gigabytes of internal memory (which Sony says will hold 40,000 images on it)!

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 Professional Reviews:

imaging-resource reviewed the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 and gave out”the Sony T2 is a good choice thanks to its very small stature, extremely large built-in memory, and good print quality at small sizes, under 8×10. There are other small cameras that don’t compromise as much on image quality, however, including the Sony T20, except that they don’t have all the memory that the Sony T2 has. We were tempted to give the Sony T2 a Dave’s Pick, but it just misses the mark when we also consider the poor flash performance. You’ll get okay flash pictures with the Sony T2 in terms of exposure, but the camera has to raise the ISO so much that even 5×7 output is soft and noisy — even if you lock it to ISO 200. That’s just not satisfactory for most indoor snapshots. The Sony T2 is a good and stylish camera that has a lot going for it, but it’s not the best choice for both indoor and outdoor photography.”

cameras.co.uk reviewed the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 and gave out”I am happy to recommend the Sony DSC T2. It is a very neat and tidy compact, takes good quality photos and is speedy when it comes to capturing a photo.”

cnet reviewed the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 and gave out”The good: Zippy performance; sleek design; 4GB built-in memory; optical image stabilizer. The bad: Requires dongle for USB; will only use memory card if internal memory is full; slow zoom. The bottom line: A likable ultracompact snapshot camera, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2 nevertheless faces stiff competition from its own siblings, the T20 and T200.”

infosyncworld reviewed the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 and gave out”Sony has packed the DSC-T2 with image-quality features, including most notably their “D-Range Optimization,” which purportedly expands the visual information in blown highlights and underlit shadows; we presume this is similar to what can be accomplished manually with exposure compensations in RAW image editing. It’s interesting not only to see a compact camera accomplish this automatically, but to do so intelligently in select regions of an image, and our tests with the camera did show a wide dynamic-range. “

pcmag reviewed the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 and gave out”With this cool little camera’s 4GB of internal memory, you can say goodbye to memory cards—but you’ll pay a premium for the privilege. The good news is that you also get primo design, easy-to-use touch-screen controls, and good-quality photos into the bargain.”

  • trustedreview reviewed the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T2 and gave out”The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T2 is an extremely stylish ultra-compact camera with a range of interesting and innovative features. If you can cope with the rather fiddly touch-screen interface and keep your fingers away from the lens, you’ll find it an excellent camera for social snapshots, and the creative playback features are a lot of fun. However it is quite expensive, the the overall image quality doesn’t live up to the price tag.”
