I have just bought a Panasonic FZ8 diggi camera, is it compatible with 4g cards, i have heard potential problems with large capacity cards, i havn’t got the camera yet but need to purchase a card so i can’t check the manual

Your camera is SDHC compliant, which means it can take an SD card of higher capacities (hence the designation HC) of greater than 2GB. The lesser-known issue you might encounter regarding SD card incompatibility is due to fake SD cards touting 4GB capacity or greater. Apparently some scammers have been selling reformatted or mislabeled cards for huge profits. See link below on how to spot bogus flash cards.BTW I have a Panasonic/Lumix digicam in addition to my DSLR, it’s great. I often leave my DSLR AND camcorder at home and still come up with great pictures and videos using one camera!
