The Samsung is basically a re-badged Pentax K10D.

The Pentax K10D is a much better camera than the EOS 400D or the Finepix S9600. The K10D (and thus the Samsung GX10) was designed to compete with the more expensive Canon EOS 30D and the Nikon D200/D80 series.

The GX10 is weather-sealed and in a tougher body.

Personally, I would get the Pentax K10D, but if you want the same camera in the Samsung name… the GX10 is the best of these three cameras.

The finepix isn’t even worthy of comparison; it has a physically smaller sensor, so it’ll be a noisier, lower quality image.
