Photographing in dark area’s with flash?—gignacjo…

using canon xti with sigma DC 18-200mm 1:3.5-6.3 with OS
images are dark and red
HELP!

Check your flash … how far out are you attempting to shoot using the flash unit?

The XTi has a flash guide number of 12 m (39.3 ft) @ ISO 100.

Do some tests with your lens at about 50mm and see what you get at various f/stops. Make sure you have your shutter speed set at 1/200th of a second in the manual mode.
