Nikon Coolpix S70 Digital Camera

After looking at the stats for both I’d say the Sony.
Reasons;

10fps burst shooting.
I’ve seen the smile shutter in action and it works.
Carl Zeiss lens.
Sweep panorama mode is exclusive feature to the Sony ATM.

Don’t be swayed by the extra 2 mega pixels the Nikon has. For this range of camera 10 mega pixels is already more than enough.

You might want to look at the Sony H20/B though. Nicer camera over all for less money… its jut not as compact is all. As well as the Sony HX1. 450 bucks but about as close to dSLR quality you can get without actually buying an dSLR.

    Both are good brands. I’d check at CNET.com and see user reviews on each. Each model is different.
