You can get better performance from models like the $179.99 Canon PowerShot A590 IS. Or, if you’re a Nikon fan, you can pick up the Coolpix P60, which offers infinitely more features and manual controls, for $70 less than the S600. But if you’re looking for an extremely basic camera that requires very little know-how, the S600 will certainly make shooting easier.”
