Nikon Coolpix P6000 is a 13.5 megapixel optically image stabilized point-and-shoot digital camera and it features a 4x optical zoom (35mm format: 28-112mm), 2.7 inch LCD, manual exposure modes, New Coolpix RAW mode, GPS geo-tag capability and an ISO range of 64 to 6400. Camera dimensions are 2.6 in. high (65.5mm) 4.2 in. wide (107mm) 1.7 in. deep (42mm) and it weighs 8.5 oz. (240g).

We are a little disappointed to see the optical zoom go from 6x on its predecessor to 4x on the P6000. Our hope for the P6000 is that Nikon is able to shift some of their low-light magic from their DSLR range to this camera. Its predecessor, the P5100, did not perform well in low-light situations. We’ll also be very interested to find out how effective the GPS capability is, especially its impact on battery life.”
