How do I fix my camera’s focus?—By Beauty Guru
My camera focuses perfectly on pictures and such. But I’ve been having problems with the video, somehow when I wanna focus on small letters on things (like say, the color of a small eyeshadow) it won’t pick it up. I know for a fact that it used to, just because I’ve done videos where the focus is good. I am just wondering if there’s a way to fix that. I’m not too “camera smart”. Anyways, can this be done easily by repair or do I have to buy a new camera? Also, does it even need repair? I mean, it focuses really well on the pictures

You forgot to mention which particular camera you have, but for shooting closeups while recording video, most cameras allow you to use the Macro feature.
So, have you tried pressing the Macro button (usually a flower icon) before you start recording?
p.s. I’m sure your camera allows closeup movie recording, so try using mAcro and make sure you’re not too close.

When you are in video mode, Macro is not available. Video will have a minimum distance that it will focus, and you can find it in the manual. You might be trying to focus a little closer than you used to, so it doesn’t pick it up; back up a little until it does focus.
