Actually all cameras can take closeup photos.
You need to have very steady hands or get a tripod to take the picture.
Set it on auto shot, so it won’t shake.
Make sure there is enough light on the subject.

The most important thing in taking pictures is a steady camera.
The better the lighting, the best the result.

Canon is very reliable and will last at least a couple years.

Get the A570 IS, SD850, SD870, SD950, G9, TX1, SX100, or the S5.
They are my favorites, I have the older G9 (G7).
