I have had the camera for a week now and
am ready to get rid of it.
Camera weighs too much, uncomfortable to hold.
10 to 1 zoom is useless unless using a tripod.
Zoom speed is too fast to get accurate cropping.
Image quality is poor for a Fuji product.
Hi ISO noise anything over ISO 800 is useless.
I hate to say it but go out and get a Nikon.

People who are selling this camera at ABOVE Retail Price comment that I am “whining” about the price.
If not here – to advise the public about the price gouging – then where?
HERE! THAT’S WHERE!
These people try to hoodwink the public by not advising them the TRUTH. If the Retail Price was reported in the NY Times as $190, then WHY should the public be misguided?
Put all the truth in one place (whether you like it or not) and let the public decide.
Good Camera? Without a Doubt! Is it worth the EXTRA NINETY DOLLARS that Amazon is tacking on at the current price of $280? No way!
So cry if you must, you public gouging camera sellers – the truth tellers will always be around to keep the public informed!
WHEN the price is once again REASONABLE, I will return to purchase. But not while the blood thirsty are about. And NOT in THIS Economy!
Go rip someone else off!

David Pogue of the NY Times indicated that the price of this camera was $190.00. I can wait until you bring the price back down to the recommended retail price.
Maybe the sellers of the camera are taking advantage of the fact that the camera was given a good review. Is that any reason to take advantage of the public by raising the price? I think not…

I was very happy with the time it took to receive the camera I ordered. It was a surprise for my wife’s birthday and it was frustrating for me when I realized Amazon was sending me several follow-up emails each week, such as “For someone who just recently purchased a digital camera….”, and others, I had to rush to the computer each day before my wife caught on that I bought her one. I would be interested to know how I could have indicated that it was a surprise and not to send these follow-up emails. Dr. Jim Singleton

I needed a pocketable camera with a little more zoom then I currently own. After reading many reviews on several different cameras, I decided on the Fujifilm F70 EXR.I own several cameras from different manufacturers und among them are a few from Fujifilm which are quite capable of taking some decent pictures.I needed this camera for my recent trip to Jamaica and it sure didn`t let me down; especially in low-light situations.Before going on my trip, I experimemted with several different settings in order to become familiar with this camera, and it sure paid off; then upon returning from my trip I had some nice pictures.I also had a Nikon D80 and a Panasonic LX3 with me ,but the Fuji F70 was my main shooter.I am quite happy with it.

I really wanted to love this camera, but after 3 weeks struggle, decided to return it and go back to my old Canon.
Pros:
1.Beautiful LCD: the picture on the LCD look way better than anything else I’d owned
2.Natural light+flash mode: two different pictures in one shot, my favorite feature, but then I realize the +flash is always nicer, so probably not that useful.
3. Crisp images
Cons:
1. Odd placement of flash: the flash is placed on the right hand side of the camera, right next to the shutter. extremely difficult to operate with single hand. always accidentally block the flash.
2. Weak flash: Maybe it’s normal for this type of compact PnS, but my dad’s Sony HX1 has way more powerful flash. This Fuji ended up useless most of the time during our trip to Hawaii, where strong flash was needed in a lot of shots to counter the super bright background.
3. Slow processing: Takes long to process the picture between shots
4. Bad battery life: I got 3 backup batteries for this little camera, each backup performs similar to the one came with the camera, but equally bad. I did need all 4 batteries to last a 6 hour day trip. Also slow flash charging.
5. Poor charger quality: charger died after few charges. End up not being able to use the camera for half of my trip
6. Only 3 continuous shots: unlike what was stated in the user’s manual, this camera only allows 3 continuous shots. Even worse, after each continuous series, it’ll take about 30 sec before you can use the camera to do anything. Very annoying feature, though not as annoying as Sony HX1, which takes even longer to recover. For this, Canon is the nicest: 0.8fps until card full, super useful for taking random shots. I think this and the charger issue are the two deal breakers for me.
