I found it on page 62-63 of your user manual.( downloaded PDF)
You will press the button on the left rear of the camera, that looks like a stack of pages, and sits to the right of the BKT button. Rotate the Main command dial, until the S shows up in your control panel. Within these pages, it will tell you how to set it, and what the other icons are when your playing within the shooting mode option. Can’t stress enough, the importance of reading the manual.
I know it’s a little boring, however, Taking one feature at a time, you will learn faster than you think.I would also like to add, a better book to own for your camera, are the ones by David D. Bush. I bought one for my Canon 40D. It not only covers the manual, it goes beyond. They are so informative, and cover every feature of your camera in more detail.
You made a great investment…
Have fun with it
Good Luck
