What’s the difference between a Canon Powershot and IXUS?—girl23

it’s really hard deciding which Canon camera to buy since i don’t know the difference

Best Answer —Dr. Sam

“Powershot” is the USA designation. IXUS is used everywhere else.

Unfortunately, though, the numbers are different!

For example, a Powershot SD950-IS is known as the IXUS 960-IS in other countries. The SD750 is the IXUS 75, but the SD1000 is the IXUS 70. Go figger.
