can’t find photos after delete them

I downloaded photos from my digital camera, afterwards deleted them from camera, now can’t find them any place—by Tim M

They will probably be in ‘my documents’ somewhere. The camera software (if installed) will create a directory in your documents for image storage and manipulation, as well as the usual files in ‘program files’.So, look first in ‘my pictures’ or for a folder in ‘my documents which has the same name as the brand of your camera.

If that fails take another photo with your camera and reconnect it up to your pc and transfer the image, whilst doing this there shoudl be a visual indication of where the image is being tranferd to or an option to manually select where you would like to transfer it.
My guess would be that it is somewhere in ‘my documents’.

I have assumned that you are using an XP/Vista based machine here.

If the images are JPG format and you still cant fidn them go to start>search and type in JPG and search in ‘my documents, although this method ill find all the JPG’s in ‘my documents.
