The A550 is smaller in every dimension, though it’s still quite a stout camera. It has a 7.1-megapixel CCD (three and a half times the A20’s) plus a 51mm LCD (nearly double the older camera’s) and 4x optical zoom where the A20 could only manage 3x.

Canon PowerShot A550 was Reviewed By ITReviews and Said”This is a well-featured, compact digital camera at just a touch over £100. It’s easy to use as a first-time digital compact, but has the specification to stay with you until you reach enthusiast level. It’s crying out for a higher-capacity memory card, though, and still needs work on its control buttons…….
