Canon 400D Flash Obstructed, Error 05?

I already asked this question, but apparantly it was misread and then no one else answered, so I’ll ask again.My Canon camera’s pop up flash is obstructed.
Whenever I try to take a picture, it makes a heavy clicking sound as though it’s trying to pop up.
Then it says “Error 5, flash obstructed.”

How do I make it not obstructed?
I’ve tried popping it up with a knife, but it’s jammed shut and I’m scared of breaking it.

Help?

I think this is not being answered because we do not know what to tell you. It sounds like a camera malfunction. Nothing we can do here to fix it. You need to contact Canon tech service and speak with them about it, and will most likely have to send the camera to them for repair.

Hope it is still in warranty!
