I would like to say that this is a first rate compact camera. I also own the Sony DSC-T200 and I believe that the S510 matches it in image quality. The photos the S510 takes are also sharper than the T200, but each camera has it’s own “image look”, with the T200 having more saturated colors while the S510 being more conservative in saturation, even with the vivd mode set to “on”.

I recently bought a near cousin of this as a happy snapper camera (the S850) while in Germany. The only difference is the number of pixels which is 8MP rather than 10MP. They appear to be otherwise identical.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P41 or DSC-P73. Which would you prefer?—farm-gal
I have both a Sony Cyber-shot MPEG Movie VX DSC-P41 (retail approx $179.00) and a Sony Cyber-shot MPEG Movie VX DSC-P73 (retail approx $300.00).
I’m going to give one away but I’m not sure which one. Are you familiar with these cameras and which one would you keep if you wanted to keep the better camera?
Thanks for your input!
