Canon Powershot S5 IS Vs Pentax K100D Super?—paul_w81…

Which one should I get? I know it’s SLR-like Vs SLR but it’s also Canon (!) against Pentax… I really need an opinion because I cannot decide and I’m vvery very confused! Konica Minolta Z5 Camera Broken?—candace B

Hello all. I own a Z5 it’s like my heart actually and about a year ago a friend of mine tried to upload pictures from it to his computer and used the wrong cord to do so, while the cords were similar i noticed that this on was a little tore up meaning it was bursting at the seems for lack of a better example. Right after that my camera would not turn on. I know a year is a long time to have something that you love so much out of commision without trying to do something about it, but i was unsure of how much the repair would cost esp. considering my 1 year warrenty was up, so i packed her up and left it at that.
What has changed is that i recently moved to the us and i figured that repairs may be something that could easily be done here.

Does anyone know what might be wrong with it? Or where i may be able to go to have it repaired?

This camera is great in low light. I shot pictures in an auditorium with regular stage light in “High Sensitivity” mode and was able to get 4×6 prints of people (as long as they weren’t moving too much) without a tripod and WITHOUT a flash! I did use the 2 second timer so I could hold the camera still while the shutter went off.

The quality of the pics are fab. Macro from 1cm. Amazing. Face recon. Photo wise (2 pics in one). The only down side I do not have the codex to watch the movie (I did send an e-mail to Samsung. They don’t care, no reply after 3 weeks.). You cannot watch your movie (downloaded or recorder on TV)???. My old Sony did it. MP3 is great. Movie Player is great, But you can only compress mpeg movies not AVI or IFO. Otherwise if you are an expert you will have to use at list 3 softwares to put a DVD to your camera. The quality is so good and the design so perfect. 2 year guaranty. Don’t Hesitate to buy it if you are ready to read a thick instruction book to get the best of it. This camera has the WOW effect for a very very cheap price!!!
