Canon PowerShot S5 IS Review By ephotozine

The Canon Powershot S5 IS is a prosumer digital camera with 8Mp, 12x optical zoom and point blank macro facility. Close equivalents are the Sony DSC-H9 at £339 with 8Mp, 15x optical zoom and a 3in tilting screen. Alternatively, there’s the Panasonic DMC-FZ50 at £365 with 10.1Mp, 12x optical zoom and optical image stabiliser.

Canon PowerShot SD870IS Customer Reviews

By gweempose (Chicago, IL)

This camera replaced my trusty SD450. I loved the SD450, but I wanted to upgrade to something with image stabilization. To put it simply, the SD870 totally rocks! The 3″ screen is beautiful to behold. It’s even viewable outside with bright sunlight shining directly on it. And the pictures this thing takes are absolutely gorgeous! They are sharp as a tack, and the colors are spot on. I have to say, the image stabilization really makes a big difference, particularly when you are shooting in low light. I also like the new, wide-angle lens. It really comes in handy when taking group shots or shooting in close quarters.
canon-powershot-sd870is.jpgThe only negative I can come up with is the lack of an optical viewfinder. I guess this is a sacrifice you have to make in order to get a screen this big on such a small camera. Continue Reading »

luxurious teak patio furniture for the general public

As We Known, all the wood furniture is not the same. there are so many wood choices creating differences in look, durability, weather resistance, care, and color. When purchasing any patio furniture, the first things you should think about your specific needs and desires. Such as “How will you use this furniture? Do you want something casual or elegant? Will you use this often or just for infrequent company? Do you live in a place with harsh and extreme weather or in a mild climate?” After that, you must also consider how long this furniture will last.

Fujifilm FinePix Z5fd Customer Reviews

By L. Gilles

I own a Fuji S3000 big view finder, 6x zoom, takes the best pictures in the world BUT it was too big to carry at an outing all day long. Loving my Fuji, I decided to stick with what I know, so I purchased the Fuji Z5fd 6.3MP.
No regrets, I love it. It is user friendly, most can figure it out without reading the owners manual. Its small, I like the slide over the lens to protect it when not in use. The pictures and videos are outstanding!! The function to shoot the same scene with and without flash is my favorite.I have found a lot of my pics inside look better w/out a flash since using this. The button for this setting is right on the back of the camera (no having to look through menus to get to it) I’m not going to retire my big Fuji, but now my little fuji can go every where with me without carrying a camera case. My one dislike, no view finder But it seems all other brands are omitting them on the compact cameras also.

Pentax K100D Customer Reviews

By Charles Hueter (Austin, TX)

Bought the body-only (no 18-55mm kit lens) from Amazon via Beach Camera in late August 2007.
Pros:
~Very inexpensive for the list of features it offers. Best deal on the market in my opinion.
~Great image quality! Coming from three different compact digicams (Olympus 740, Panasonic LZ3, and my still-good Fuji F30) this is a big step up.
~Six megapixels is plenty for all regular print sizes; don’t fall for the marketing hype pushing consumers towards more and more megapixels unless you intend to print big.
~Shake reduction works! I’ve taken handheld shots in crappy indoor lighting with a manual 200mm telephoto at shutter speeds as low as 1/50th second (the rule of thumb suggests shutter speeds faster than 1/focal length, in this case 1/200th second). Not crystal clear, but definitely usable for small prints and web posting.
~Extensive compatibility with a long history of Pentax K-mount lenses. I’ve got a 3rd-party M42 screwmount adapter to use some old fully manual Spotmatic lenses I bought cheap. Continue Reading »

Olympus Stylus 770SW Customer Reviews

By Abraham Kowitz (Daytona Beach, Florida USA)
I bought the Olympus Stylus 720 sw and quickly realized that 10 feet deep is not deep enough! I didn’t kill the camera, but as I videoed my swim deeper chasing marine life I started to think, “Am I deeper than 10 feet?”
Well, that was my honeymoon and my camera was stolen on the trip home. I bought the 770 as a replacement, and I’m not worried about going 33 feet down.
There’s enough settings in this camera to suit any condition you want to take pictures in.
This is a wonderful camera, my 5th Olympus digital.
I just got this camera back from Olympus after breaking the usb door (it got knocked off my desk when attached to the usb cable and landed on my tile floor) which was replaced with no charge.

Sony Cybershot DSC-H9 Customer Reviews

By S. FERRELL “Photo freak” (Chester, SC)

I got this camera to take on vacation in July. I had not used it prior to going on our trip, and it was perfect. I had a Sony Cybershor DSC-H5 which I also loved. I really wanted a higher digital zoom. So this worked perfectly. I am not a professional, but love taking pictures. Sony has great products and this is my third Sony camera. If you are looking for a great camera that is easy to use, even if you know nothing about digital cameras, this is the way to go. I took a picture of a person that was about 40 foot out in the ocean from our 16th floor condo and they looked like we were on the 1st floor. I was shocked at how clear the photo turned out.
