On the face of it, Canon’s POWER:Shot G7 retains the basic G-series premise, with a 10MP sensor, three exposure metering patterns and a good selection of automatic and manual shooting modes.

Canon PowerShot G7 was Reviewed by whatdigitalcamera and said that”while on the back many of the G7’s controls are found in a neat triple-action ‘control centre’. This uses a rotating wheel on the outside, a four-way rocker switch within this, and in the centre is a small function/set button. The system generally works well, even though it takes a bit of getting used to…….

the SD850 IS is an attractive little camera with a luxurious metallic finish that feels comfortable in your hand and slips easily into your pocket.

LapTop Magazine review the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS and gave out”For video, the SD850 IS can shoot 30-fps clips at a fairly standard 640 x 480-pixel resolution. The camera offers a fast frame rate feature for capturing sports; a compact mode for shooting small, e-mail-friendly video clips; a color-accent/color-swap feature to highlight specific colors in a movie while keeping the rest in black and white; and a Time Lapse mode. Overall video quality, though not on the same level of a camcorder, was quite good for a camera this small. “

although the basic concept of the camera and many features and functions are unchanged. The new model has higher resolution (8 megapixels vs 6 megapixels) and a larger, vari-angle LCD.

It is also compatible with a wide range of accessories, including add-on flash units and conversion lenses. Movie recording is excellent

Designed specifically for a niche market, the Tough 770SW is an ideal camera for those into the rougher side of life. Its pictures aren’t the best we’ve seen, but for some that isn’t the primary concern when buying a camera, and for those people this model may be a good choice.

Olympus Stylus 770 SW was reviewed By goodgearguide and said”Aesthetically the Tough 770SW isn’t anything to write home about, especially when compared to the other Olympus compacts which are known for their incredibly stylish design. However it’s hard to object considering the features and intended market for the Tough 770SW. It is flat and brick shaped, with a dark blue, metallic face plate and silver edges. All the various openings, such as the battery slot and USB port and covered with rubberised panels to stop water leaking in. …

The Canon PowerShot A460 has a small inset power button positioned on the top of the camera body near the right edge. This shutter button has a slightly different finish when compared to the surrounding camera body and although small it shouldn’t be too hard to locate when shooting quickly.

Canon PowerShot A460 was Reviewed By digitalcamerainfo and gave out”The Canon PowerShot A460’s external design is minimal and clumsy, with poorly labeled and oddly placed controls and an internal menu structure that will confuse and overwhelm novices unfamiliar with the Canon system layout. All-in-all, the design of the camera eliminates any claim that this camera is user-friendly…..

the SD850 offers a widescreen 16:9 ratio resolution setting that facilitates creating panoramic-style prints. Additionally, all new PowerShot models support 23 languages (now including Thai and Arabic).

Steves-digicams review the Canon PowerShot SD850 IS and gave out”the SD850 continues their tradition of stylish and durable cameras that capture great photos with fast performance and loads of appealing features (optical IS, 8-megapixels, 2.5-inch LCD, etc.) With 8-megapixel of resolution, the printing possibilities are almost endless, from tightly cropped 4×6s to huge poster size prints! With and MSRP of US$399 or less, it may seem a but more expensive than many other 8- megapixel modes, however, I feel it offers an outstanding value for such a versatile pocket-rocket.”
