Olympus SP-550 UZ Review by Pcmag
With a whopping 18X optical-zoom lens and image stabilization, there’s a lot to like about the Olympus SP-550 UZ, but a few features need to be enhanced for it to become king of the superzooms.

Pcmag Reviewed the Olympus SP-550 UZ and gave out “Overall, I found that the SP-550 UZ’s images displayed a very nice dynamic range and good contrast—just strong enough without having the shadows swallow up the details. Flash coverage was even and powerful enough to provide proper illumination without blowing out highlights. And you can make the strobe stronger or weaker, which is a nice touch. “

Casio Exilim EX-V7 Review By PcMag
Although there were a few issues with the Casio Exilim EX-V7, this versatile ultracompact point-and-shoot definitely ups the feature-set ante for cameras its size.

PcMag reviewed the Casio Exilim EX-V7 and gave out “Although the Casio Exilim EX-V7 has a lens that doesn’t thrill me and is more expensive than it should be, this slick little shooter has a boatload of cool features and swift performance. All in all, it’s a pretty compelling ultracompact.

Kodak EasyShare V1003 review by PCMag
But by promoting accessories such as camera cases, skins, wrist and neck straps, and even photo frames over image quality, the company is putting the cart before the horse. Pocket-size and available in a multitude of colors, Kodak’s new EasyShare V1003 is a perfect example of this questionable tactic.

PC Magazine reviewed the Kodak EasyShare V1003 and gave out “Although Kodak has made some very exciting cameras in the past two years, the EasyShare V1003 is not one of them.t’s sad to see the V-series line of Kodak’s digital cameras include such a clunker as the EasyShare V1003. I hope that future V models will have more robust features and better performance.”

Canon PowerShot A640 Review By PhotographyReview
The Canon PowerShot A640 is a great do-it-all compact digital camera. There’s very little to find fault with, especially with the small price tag. The image quality is excellent for a compact, the size is a good compromise between pocket-sized and super-zoom cameras, and it’s got modes and controls to meet almost any photographic need.

Canon PowerShot A640 was Review By PhotographyReview and said”The ISO 400 and ISO 800 image quality are good enough that most people won’t miss having image stabilization. On the other hand, image stabilization would help people get more and better photos and it’s the one thing that I would say is missing from the camera.
There’s a reason people keep buying Canon’s A-Series digital cameras. I don’t think there’s any other compact digital camera line that currently delivers as much bang for the buck, and does it with such quality. And the Canon PowerShot A640 is a solid representative of A-Series values and value. In spite of the lack of image stabilization, it’s a winner and I will happily recommend it.

Samsung Digimax L700 Review by CNET
the Samsung L700 performed acceptably for a budget camera, though it felt a bit sluggish for our tastes. The camera took 2.1 seconds to start up and capture its first JPEG. Shutter lag measured 0.6 second in our bright light test and 1.2 seconds under low light.

Samsung Digimax L700 was Reviewed by CNET and gave out”The good: Decent amount of controls for a budget camera; great white-balance system provides neutral colors; solid metering system. The bad: Photos were soft overall and had too many image artifacts; strangely labeled buttons can be confusing. The bottom line: It won’t make perfect photos, but this camera’s above-average controls and nice white balance make it a good choice for a budget shooter. “

Casio Exilim EX-V7 Review By InfoSync
the Exilim EX-V7 could be mistaken for a Sony Cybershot. The camera is a simple, thin, silver box, like many other compacts in its class, without significant style or design details.

InfoSync reviewed the Casio Exilim EX-V7 and gave out “The Casio Exilim EX-V7 is a nice compact, and certainly has the best optical zoom we’ve seen on such a small camera, but we’re wondering if the zoom makes the camera a worthwhile pick. Even with image stabilization, which caused a degradation in quality, holding a 7X zoom steady practically requires a tripod, and for the extra bulk, you’d be better off with a larger camera, and a higher-quality lens. Images were good, but not fantastic, and some color problems around bright edges added to the problematic noise issues.

Pentax Optio W30 Review By Trusted Reviews
The W30 is currently available for around £164, which is only about £10 than the current list price for the W20. It has the same 7.1-megapixel resolution, the same 115k-pixel 2.5-in LCD monitor (although now with an anti-glare coating), and the same internal 3x zoom lens. It even bears a strong physical resemblance to the W20 although it is actually a couple of millimetres bigger and about five grams heavier. Continue Reading »

HP Photosmart R837 Review By CNET
The HP Photosmart R837 distinguishes itself with its attractive design and numerous onboard editing and organizing options. Unfortunately, fringing and softening plague its photos, while its wiggly lens cover will quickly get on your nerves.

HP Photosmart R837 was Reviewed By CNET and said”The good: Lots of handy, on-camera editing functions; big LCD screen. The bad: The sliding lens cover feels loose and jams easily; noisy and fringe-filled photos. The bottom line: The HP Photosmart R837’s disappointing image quality makes this otherwise handy, versatile shooter a mediocre model. “
